The SDI Rescue Diver Course is designed to develop the knowledge and necessary skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assist and administer the necessary first aid in the event of an emergency. You will learn skills such as how to perform self rescues, buddy rescues, recognize and calm potential panic divers, administer proper first aid to divers that have experienced dive related injuries, conduct effective search patterns and manage accident scenes. After the SDI Rescue Diver Course you can enroll in the SDI Master Scuba Diver Development Program or start in the professional ranks and sign up for the SDI Divemaster Course.
Cost of course includes: Rescue dive slates; training with instructional team; all in-water training and testing; registration and certification upon successful completion.
Air fills, including Nitrox, equipment rentals, and eLearning are not organically included.

Who Is the SDI Rescue Diver Course For?
This course is ideal for certified open water scuba divers who are eager to expand their skills and dive deeper into the world of diving safety. It’s also perfect for advanced divers aiming to progress in their diving career or anyone aspiring to become a dive leader. Prerequisites include a minimum age of 18 (or 10 with parental consent), current CPR and first aid certifications, and proof of advanced diving experience. This course sets the stage for advancing to the SDI Master Scuba Diver or Divemaster levels.

Prerequisites: Must have or rent all equipment; certified CPR/AED, First Aid, and O2 Provider through First Response or other training agency; Advanced Adventure certification, or Open Water certification and 15 logged dives.
All training is performed in person and locally. This course requires both training and certification dives, which may take place in either fresh or salt water. Dives must be scheduled with your instructor and take place over two separate dive days.
