Multi Level Diver

Description

This course is considered an “oldie-but-goodie”. While almost everyone dives with a PDC (personal dive computer) these days, knowing how to plan a multi-level dive is a skill only a handful of divers still possess. This class digs a bit deeper into the tables, planning your dive in four stages: the deepest part of your dive, a deep-but-shallower level, then a last depth before a required safety stop.

The course includes at copy of the TDI version of the US Navy Air Dive Tables, and our instructional team will work with you to complete a multi-level worksheet, introducing you to things like “Absolute Bottom Time” and “Residual Nitrogen Times” to help plan the most epic dive possible, without going into decompression.

Now, at the end of the day, we’re still going to take, use, and RELY on a dive computer to keep track of the important details, but making our dive plan in advance we are able to see not just how accurate we can get with the tables, but also, just how valuable diving with a PDC can be!

When you’ve got the opportunity to earn a certification so old they don’t even produce standards for it, you KNOW it’s going to be good!

Cost of course includes: class time with instructor(s); two open water dives; registration and certification card upon successful completion. Air fills, including Nitrox, and equipment rentals, are not organically included.

Multi Level Diver Course requirements:

• Class time: 4 hours
• Dive site: must plan two dives using the multi-level worksheet, to include surface interval and no-decompression time
• Dives: must complete two multi-level dives according to plan (with the restriction of following PDC instructions)

Prerequisites: SDI Open Water SCUBA Diver (or equivalent), 18 years old (12 with parent/guardian permission), SDI Computer Diver (or equivalent)
