SCUBA Instructor Evaluation Course

Description

SCUBA Instructor IEC, or Instructor Evaluation Course. Have you taken and passed the initial step in becoming SCUBA Instructor, successfully completing your Instructor Development Course (IDC) and just need to put a bow on top with your Instructor Evaluation Course (IEC)? Look no further: Spartan SCUBA has you covered. With our staff Instructor Trainers we can accommodate your schedule anywhere from the “I’m ready tomorrow” to the “let’s plan on next month” diver. Remember that this is your final evaluation, so we want you to be as relaxed and ready as you can be at this course.

SCUBA Instructor Evaluation Course prerequisites:

• Successfully completed the SDI Instructor Development Course (IDC)
• Provide proof of current CPR, first aid and oxygen provider*, where local law permits

During the Instructor Evaluation Course you will have to give, at instructional level quality:

• One (1) Academic Presentation* – 15 minutes
• One (1) complete Confined Water Presentation*
• One (1) complete Open Water Presentation*

*Topics to be assigned by your Instructor Trainer

Where we do our Instructor Evaluation Course:

Spartan SCUBA is fortunate to have our popular dive site at Sunrise Resort on Hood Canal set as an authorized confined water location. This allows us to complete your entire IEC in one day trip to Hoodsport, WA.

Courses you can teach as a SCUBA Instructor:

Once you pin on your strips as a SCUBA Instructor, a world of possiblities open up to you. There are an entire list of specialty courses that you can train to teach, there are some you can administratively upgrade to teach, such as deep diving, underwater navigation, and night/lim-vis. There is also an entire list of things that you automatically qualify to teach, such as:

• Discovery SCUBA
• Snorkler
• Open Water SCUBA Diver
• Rescue Diver
• Divemaster
• and more!
