Description

The SDI Inactive/Refresher program is designed to update and review the knowledge and skill level of an inactive diver.

Who is this course for:
– The certified diver who has been inactive for a period of time and wishes to review the scuba skills and academic information before starting to dive again.

Course prerequisites:
– Proof of Open Water Scuba Diver or Junior Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent from a recognized dive training organization

What you can expect to learn:
– Planning a dive – including equalization techniques, communication skills, lung over-expansion problems, and review of a dive computer
– Scuba system assembly and disassembly
– Weight adjustment
– Mask management including defogging and clearing
– Don and doff scuba system
– Entry for site conditions
– Controlled descent, ascent, and computer assisted diving
– Regulator clearing and recovery
– Fin use
– Buoyancy work
– Logging Dives
– Air share review and managing underwater emergencies

When you sign up for the course you will receive a confirmation email with your eLearning code. At that time we will ask for a response describing the gear needs you may have for the upcoming in-water portions of the course.
