Sunrise Dive Park: Thursday Fun Dives!

Looking for a solid day of saltwater bottom time without the heavy lifting? We’re heading up to the Hood Canal on Thursday, July 23rd, for a multi-dive “fun day” at the Sunrise Dive Park. This trip is all about getting in the water, racking up some pristine PNW dives, and logging quality time with the crew.

We are running a tight, efficient timeline to maximize our daylight and beat the traffic, so make sure your gear is dialed and ready to move.

The Mission Timeline:

  • 0445 – Wheels up! Leaving the Spartan shop sharp.
  • 0830 – First splash at Sunrise Resort.
  • 0830–1400 – 3 to 5 dives in the park (depending on your thermal endurance and gas management).
  • 1400 – Post-dive breakdown, pack up the rigs, and hit the road.
  • Post-Dive Debrief – Our traditional pitstop at Casa Ramos in Centralia to smash out logbooks, talk shop, and unwind over some solid food.
  • 1800 – Rolling back into the Spartan shop.

Whether you want to explore the deep walls, practice your navigation, or just cruise the shallow training flats with local marine life, this is the perfect excuse for a Thursday escape.

Important Logistics & Site Info:

Make sure to review the layout, facility parameters, and standard day-use fees on our Spartan Sunrise Page before we head out. You can also check out the venue directly at the Sunrise Resort Website. Remember, standard day-use passes and air fills are handled directly with the resort, and local Washington state/local taxes apply.

  • Day-Use Site Pass: $20 per person (covers full access to the beach, grounds, and shore facilities).
  • On-Site Cylinder Fills: $10 per tank (Air).

Sunrise Resort Amenities Include:

  • Easy Beach Access: Stout stairs leading directly into the Hood Canal for smooth beach entries and exits.
  • Gear Infrastructure: On-site gear rinse-off basins and a secure drying room to keep your suits protected between splashes.
  • On-Site Tank Fills: Quick air refilling right on the property so we can keep our tight 3-to-5-dive schedule moving without hauling an entire fleet of extra cylinders.
  • Shore Facilities: Access to waterfront picnic areas, BBQs, and the resort’s hot tub to warm up and decompress after rolling out of the cold water.
