Make Me a Spartan Diver! $2,225.00
Learn the basics of your open water scuba diver course with the Spartan Dive Team locally, then put a warm, sandy, salty bow on top with a certification trip to Mexico. All classes, training, and dives for certification will be completed with time to allow for five days of two tank boat diving.

Referral Certification Diver $2,075.00
Have you completed your academic and pool training somewhere and want to get certified in Mexico? This is the option for you! We spend the afternoon of arrival day, and the afternoon of the first full day completing your certification dives, putting you on the boat for the next five full mornings of diving!

Don't dive but still want to hang out with the Spartans or have a friend or partner who dives and you want to tag along? The non-diver ticket is the one for you.

What can I expect to see underwater?
“The bottom of Doc’s fins!”
AND… a kaleidoscope of marine life, where playful sea lions frolic, majestic manta rays glide overhead, and vibrant schools of fish paint the coral reefs with color!
What is the water like?
Pretty similar to the Oregon coast with crystal clear waters at a balmy 80-84°. During our last trip in September of 2023 the water temperature was 87°!
Are meals included?
Some, but not all. Breakfast and lunch are included, but dinner is on your own. We love getting together for group dinners in Cabo, but it’s not mandatory. Feel free to explore all that Cabo has to offer on your own or with the group.
Can I bring my kids?
There are no “non-diver” rates for this trip. You can bring little Johnny or Tabitha along, but it’s the same as the base diver rate. Kids 10 and older qualify for SCUBA training – otherwise, no. Children must stay at home this trip unless a single group books all four spaces.

Package 2: Make Me a Spartan Diver! – $2225*
Get certified in the tropical, 80° waters of Cabo! This package was designed for the fair-weather diver who likes to wear nothing but their skin and a tank, leaving the mittens and earmuffs of the PNW at home where they belong!
- Confined water training prior to departure and the first day in Cabo
- Includes new mask and snorkel
- Includes all rental gear provided by Nautilus Dive Tech
- Includes 7 nights stay at Casa Nautilus (private room with private bath – room sleeps two)
- 10 dives MINIMUM!
- day two and three are spent certifying in crystal clear water
- 5 days of 2-tank boat diving

- last day free to explore and dig into the culture!
Package 3: Referral Certification Diver – $2075*
So you decided to train someplace else and now want sun and sand during your certification dives… perfect! This is the place for you. After we confirm the details of your medical and training history we’ll snuggle you like one of our own. After completing all four certifications dives on our first two days (arrival day and day two), you will jump on board with the Spartan Gang as we enjoy five mornings of 2-tank boat dives!

Why Nautilus Dive Tech? Because they are dedicated to the diver experience. They have an onsite, three bedroom house; each bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower, full kitchen and group dining area, and a large living room for gathering in the evenings. The entire house has individual room air conditioning. Casa Nautilus also boasts:
- An outdoor kitchen area with daily cook to make group breakfast and lunch,
- a large, private, 15′ deep pool for training or just lazing about,
- locked, gated entry,
- SCUBA shop on site,
- extra boat, twilight, and night dives available,
- up to 99% O2 fills available for those certified,
- a resort-dedicated boat with daily pick-up!
(1) All packages require $450 deposit at time of booking. 50% balance due by May 31, 2025; remainder due August 4, 2025. Open water eLearning course will be sent to students immediately after deposit received. Academic portion of training must be completed by August 1, 2025. All confined water training to take place in August 2025.
*All payments are non-refundable. Cancellation for any reason should be reported to trip insurance for reimbursement.
