🤿 The Ultimate Sunrise Sweep: One Giant Week of Diving & Training

Mark your calendars! Spartan SCUBA is heading up to Sunrise Resort on Hood Canal for an extended, action-packed dive week from Sunday, September 20th through Saturday, September 26th, 2026.

We’re shaking up the schedule this month. Instead of splitting our efforts between an early-month beginner weekend and a late-month technical push, we are mashing them together into one massive, week-long diving event. Whether you’re looking to knock out your very first open water checkouts, dial in your buoyancy, or push into technical depths, HQ will be on-site and operational for seven straight days.

Rain, Snow, Comet, or Shine: We’ll Be There

When Spartan sets a date on the calendar, we mean it. Come rain, squall, sudden snow, or celestial impact, our crew will be on the beach every single day.

Each morning, Spartan leadership will be dropping and securing the dive floats for the entire site. These lines aren’t just for our shop classes—they’re set up to support visiting clubs, buddy pairs, and independent divers sharing the water with us. If you’re on-site, our team will be there to offer surface support, answer questions about entry conditions, and help you finalize whatever course certifications you’re currently wrapping up.

From the “Open Water Guppy” to the 180-Foot “Dunk-N-Plunker”

The best part about combining our training tracks into a single week is the incredible energy on the beach. You’ll have brand-new divers working on basic mask skills sharing surface interval stories with trimix tech divers gearing up for deep wall runs.

We are offering every level of training and recreational diving under the sun throughout the week:

• Open Water Checkouts: Perfect for our newer divers getting comfortable with real-world Pacific Northwest cold-water conditions.
• Advanced & Specialty Training: Navigation, night diving, peak performance buoyancy, and drysuit orientations.
• Rescue & Leadership Drills: Real-time scenario practice and skill refinement for current and prospective dive leaders.
• Technical & Deep Operations: For the seasoned “dunk-n-plunkers” looking to work the deep drops, test equipment configurations, and log targeted bottom time down to 180 feet.

If you have a specific course requirement you need signed off, let us know in advance so we can align instructor schedules!

🏕️ Know Before You Go: Revised Sunrise Amenities

For those planning to camp or spend multiple days on-site, please keep in mind the updated site amenities list for Sunrise Resort:

1. Staging & Beach Access: Outstanding shore entry with easy access to depths.
2. Surface Support: Spartan dive floats deployed daily.
3. Restrooms: On-site facilities available for day-users.
4. Hot Showers: NOT AVAILABLE! (Lol—consider this your official heads-up! Pack warm layers, bring a thermos of hot water for drysuit rinses, and prepare for classic PNW ruggedness).

How to Join Us

You don’t need to commit to all seven days to participate! Drop in for a single day, stack a two-day weekend, or camp out for the full stretch with the crew.
