DESCRIPTION:Pool Training – November – Sunday the 15th\nJoin us for our upcoming Pool Training in November at Mt. Hood Athletic Club! Come experience taking that first breath underwater with the Spartan Dive Team and open yourself to an entire world of new adventure! \n🗓️ Event Details & Schedule 🗓️\n\nWhen: Sunday\, November 15th from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM\nWhere: Mt. Hood Athletic Club\n\n🤿 Courses Offered & Logistics 🤿\n1. SCUBA Discovery (Limited to 2 students)\n\nStart Time: 4:30 PM at the shop\nSchedule: We will begin at the dive shop to cover basic SCUBA academics\, gear familiarization\, and fitting before heading over to the pool at approximately 6:30 PM.\n\n2. Open Water SCUBA Diver (Limited to 4 students)\n\nSchedule: Open Water students will coordinate directly with their individual instructor(s). Academics and gear requirements may be handled prior to Sunday or on the day of the event.\nGear Pickup: Regardless of when academics are completed\, gear must be picked up prior to pool training.\n\n💥 Important Reminders & What to Bring 💥\n\nWhat to bring: Swimwear\, a towel\, a change of clothes\, and a break/spill-proof water bottle (no glass allowed) to stay hydrated.\nPool Rules: Please note that no food is permitted in the pool area.\n\n✔️ How to Join ✔️\nSpots are limited! Please RSVP for the appropriate training option below and make sure to coordinate with your instructor(s) prior to attending.

Whether you’re coming up for a single day of fun diving or spending the entire weekend with us\, we’ve got a fantastic schedule of diving\, training\, and community lined up. \n📅 Weekend Schedule\n\nFriday\, November 20: Open Fun Diving all day!\nSaturday\, November 21 & Sunday\, November 22:\n\n08:00 – 14:00: Scheduled Course Dives & Instruction\n14:00 – Late: Open Fun Diving\n\n\nMonday\, November 23: Early morning fun dive\, followed by gear cleaning\, packing\, and heading home.\n\n🤿 Training & Course Dives\nAll course dives must be pre-scheduled and confirmed with an instructor prior to booking to verify instructor availability. \n🐙 Underwater Highlights & Exposure Gear Recommendations\n\nWater Conditions: Expect our typical cold-water PNW environment with water temperatures sitting right around 51°F.\nExposure Protection: Appropriate thermal protection is strongly encouraged—a drysuit (with warm undergarments) or a thick 7mm wetsuit with hood and gloves is recommended for full-day and multi-day diving.\nMarine Life & Features: Keep an eye out along the seawall and slopes for Giant Pacific Octopus\, wolf eels\, colorful plumose anemones\, rockfish\, sea lemons\, and rich local life!\n\n🏨 Accommodations & Resort Fees\n\nSpartan Mini-Dorm: We have 3 beds available in our mini-dorm! Beds are available on a per-night basis—reserve your space below!\nResort Rooms: Book directly through Sunrise Resort\, or reach out to Doc for help booking.\nDay Divers / Shore Access: Divers not staying on-site should be prepared for a $20/day Beach/Shore fee (+ tax) payable directly to the resort upon checkout.\n\n💨 Air Fills & Cylinder Logistics\n\nCompressor Status: Resort compressor status is currently TBD.
