Whether you’re looking to shake off the workweek or squeeze in some incredible Pacific Northwest bubble therapy\, we’ve got an amazing day of fun diving lined up along the jade pulse of the Hood Canal. \nSchedule & Logistics\n\n0800: Gear up\, check in\, and meet by the water.\n0900 – 1400: Open fun-diving window to explore\, take photos\, and enjoy the depths.\nPost-1400: Pack up our gear\, wrap up stories from the water\, and head home.\n\nCompressor Status Update\nFingers and gloved hands are crossed all around that the resort’s brand-new compressor is fully up and running for our visit! We are keeping a close eye on the status and will update this posting the moment we have final confirmation. We’ll be checking out and enjoying the underwater park—sculpted by time\, tide\, and community care. Hood Athletic Club\n\n🤿 Courses Offered & Logistics 🤿\n1. SCUBA Discovery (Limited to 2 students)\n\nStart Time: 4:30 PM at the shop\nSchedule: We will begin at the dive shop to cover basic SCUBA academics\, gear familiarization\, and fitting before heading over to the pool at approximately 6:30 PM.\n\n2. Open Water SCUBA Diver (Limited to 4 students)\n\nSchedule: Open Water students will coordinate directly with their individual instructor(s). Academics and gear requirements may be handled prior to Sunday or on the day of the event.\nGear Pickup: Regardless of when academics are completed\, gear must be picked up prior to pool training.\n\n💥 Important Reminders & What to Bring 💥\n\nWhat to bring: Swimwear\, a towel\, a change of clothes\, and a break/spill-proof water bottle (no glass allowed) to stay hydrated.\nPool Rules: Please note that no food is permitted in the pool area.\n\n✔️ How to Join ✔️\nSpots are limited! To celebrate\, we are hosting a Sunday Sunrise Dive Day on Sunday\, November 29th\, 2026! \nWhether you’re a seasoned local diver looking to get wet\, a underwater photographer chasing that perfect light\, or just someone who enjoys freezing their fins off in good company\, this event is built for you. Put on your drysuit\, grab your gear\, and join us for a full day of cold-water therapy\, epic marine encounters\, and plenty of laughs! \n📍 The Location & Facility Notes\nWe are heading out to the gorgeous shorelines of the hood! \n\nDive Resort: Check out Sunrise Resort on Hood Canal for location highlights and lodging.\nDive Park Site Info: Read up on all our local site specs via our Spartan Dive Team Sunrise Dive Park Guide.\n\n\n🚧 Facility Note: Keep in mind that the facility is still under construction. While the site itself is fully diveable and ready for action\, amenities on-site are still being built out. Because of this\, we highly recommend booking a room for the night so you can roll out of bed\, smash out an early morning couple of dives\, and avoid that dreadful dark-and-early Sunday drive! \n\n⏰ Schedule of Events\n\n08:00 AM – Meet\, greet\, assemble gear\, and unpack tailgate-style.\n09:00 AM – First splash! Briefings wrap up\, and the first wave hits the water.\n09:00 AM – 04:00 PM – Continuous dive operations! Hit the water\, offgas with a hot beverage\, swap stories\, and jump back in for round two (or three!).\n04:00 PM – Dive ops wrap up for the day.\nBonus: Monday Dives? There’s a possible chance for 1–2 informal dives on Monday morning for those staying over\, but no promises—let’s see how the tides and weather treat us!\n\n👯 Buddy System & Requirements\nSafety and fun go hand-in-hand. For this dive day: \n\nYou must bring a buddy\, be prepared to hunt one down upon arrival during our 08:00 AM gear-up\, or be Solo Diver Certified.\nAll divers must possess active certification cards and appropriate cold-water immersion gear (a good 7mm suit or drysuit setup recommended!).\n\n💰 Cost to Attend\nWhat’s the damage to your wallet for attending? ZERO DUCKETTS. Nada. Zip. \nThat’s right—coming out\, hanging with the crew\, and diving the park is completely free! \nWant extra guidance?
